Overview
What is Styrene?
Styrene is a thin, lightweight polystyrene plastic sheet with a smooth, matte surface that prints cleanly and consistently. Semi-rigid and easy to cut, score, and form, it’s one of the more economical plastic substrates for indoor signage and display work.
It’s a common choice for point-of-purchase displays, printed signs, and short-run graphics where cost and printability matter more than long-term durability. Thinner gauges have some flexibility, while thicker sheets hold their shape well — but as a primarily indoor material, styrene isn’t built for sustained outdoor exposure.
