Custom Door Wraps for NYC Offices, Schools & Commercial Buildings
Signs New York designs, prints, fabricates, and installs custom door wraps for offices, schools, hotels, retail spaces, healthcare facilities, residential buildings, and commercial properties across NYC. Door wraps can be used for branding, room identification, wayfinding, promotions, privacy, or simply giving worn doors a cleaner finished appearance.
We produce full-color printed vinyl wraps for solid and glass doors, along with architectural finish films that refresh existing doors with realistic wood grain, brushed metal, stone, marble, leather, and specialty textures. Every project is measured around the actual door surface, hardware, traffic level, and installation schedule.

Door Wraps for Branding, Wayfinding and Interior Updates
Doors are one of the most used and visible surfaces in any building. They are seen by employees, students, guests, patients, tenants, and visitors every day, which makes them a practical place for branding, identification, directions, and visual updates.
We wrap doors for many different purposes, from school spirit graphics and office branding to hotel corridor resurfacing, retail promotions, glass entrance graphics, and short-term event campaigns. Whether the goal is a full printed design or a more permanent architectural finish, we help match the right material to the door and the space.

Our Door Wrap Process
Site Review and Photos
We start by reviewing photos, door dimensions, door quantity, surface type, hardware, and project goals. For larger projects, we may recommend an on-site survey before quoting or production.
Material Recommendation
We recommend the right vinyl, laminate, adhesive, or architectural film based on the surface, traffic level, expected lifespan, cleaning needs, and whether the wrap is temporary or long-term.
Design and Production
Once the layout is approved, we prepare the artwork for each door size, print the graphics in-house, apply laminate when needed, and cut the material for installation.
Installation Planning
We coordinate installation around your building schedule. For schools, offices, hotels, and active facilities, work can often be phased by area, floor, corridor, or door group.
Professional Installation
Our installers clean the door surface, align the wrap, trim around hardware, finish the edges, and check the final appearance so the door remains clean, usable, and professional.

Highly recommend!Posted on Margarita KoshelevaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We’ve been working with this printing company for years, and the service has always been excellent! The team is professional, responsive, and always delivers high-quality printing. Turnaround time is fast, and they consistently go above and beyond to make sure everything looks perfect. Highly recommend!Posted on Bart BeckermannTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was a very frustrating experience, a huge waste of time, energy and money. I had some work done from them a few years ago and had a good experience, so I decided to work with them again. I wish that I didn’t. Hamza, who handled my project, would only communicate by email and refused to have a short conversation by phone even though I requested it over 5 times. A simple phone call would have saved everyone a lot of time and energy. There were so many miscommunications about many things. When I got the sign it was very flimsy and thin with air bubbles in the finish. They agreed to replace it. The one they brought to replace it had a grayed out, grainy finish. For $550, I was expecting better quality. They said they would take back the signs and refund it, but I can’t operate my business without any signs and do not have the bandwidth to go through the whole process with another company at the moment, so I am taking a loss. I will have to throw the sandwich board sign away because it is so thin and flimsy and gets blown down by the wind several times per day. I am very disappointed with the communication, the service and the quality of the signs. If you use this company, I hope that you have better luck than I did. I also recommend that you insist on having a phone conversation with them before doing business. Only communicating by email did not work. It was a huge waste of time and energy. They did their best, it was just a bad job.Posted on Michael AnthonyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After comparing several sign companies, I confidently chose Signs NY. Their competitive pricing, combined with their exceptional quality, made them the clear winner. The sign they created for my restaurant is stunning and has garnered numerous compliments.Posted on welcome homeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We worked with Hamza and his team for months as we geared up to open our bakery. They were helpful, professional, quick to respond, clear communicators, and made sure everything was PERFECT before even addressing payment - something that we really appreciated as small business owners! We couldn't be happier with the painted signage up top and metallic details on the windows. Thank you Hamza and thank you Signs NY!Posted on Ryan WinterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a great experience with this company getting vinyl signage made for my cafe. They were prompt, communicative, and the product looks great.

Door Wraps & Graphics Care Guide
Cleaning
Use a soft cloth with mild soap and water for routine cleaning. Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents, and harsh scrubbing around the edges. For facilities with regular cleaning schedules, we can recommend a laminate that better supports frequent wipe-downs.
Durability
Printed door wraps with protective laminate typically last several years indoors, depending on traffic and cleaning. Architectural finish films generally last longer and are often used for semi-permanent resurfacing. Door bottoms, kick plate areas, and exposed edges usually wear faster than the center of the door.
Replacement
Most door wraps can be removed and replaced when the graphic is outdated or the finish needs to be refreshed. Removal is usually cleaner on metal and glass. Painted wood or older painted doors may require more care because weak paint can lift during removal.
Frequently Asked Questions
When possible, yes — removing handles and escutcheon plates allows us to wrap the surface underneath for a cleaner result. Most commercial door handles are held by two screws on the interior side. When removal isn’t practical (panic hardware, automatic closers), we precision-cut the vinyl around the hardware.
Yes. We use 3M IJ35 and IJ40 vinyl, which are ASTM E84 Class A fire-rated. Our HP Latex inks are GREENGUARD Gold certified — low-VOC, odorless when cured, and safe for schools and healthcare environments. We’re a DOE Verified Vendor, approved for NYC public school projects.
On metal and glass doors — no, when properly installed and removed with heat. On painted wood doors, adhesive can potentially pull loose or weakly adhered paint. We test adhesion on one door before wrapping a full set, especially on older painted surfaces. Any residue is cleaned with IPA or commercial adhesive remover.
We use ASTM E84 Class A rated vinyl for all commercial door wrap projects. However, fire-rated doors are certified assemblies — adding material can potentially affect the fire rating. We recommend confirming vinyl application with your building’s fire safety officer or facilities manager. We provide full material safety data sheets and fire test certifications.
Printed wraps with scratch-resistant lamination: 3–7 years on interior doors. Architectural finish films: 7–12 years. Lifespan depends on traffic level, cleaning frequency, and whether the door is interior or exterior-facing. The kick plate zone (bottom 12 inches) wears fastest — lamination grade matters here.
There’s no limit. We regularly handle multi-door projects — entire school wings, hotel corridors, and office floors. For printed wraps, each door gets custom-measured and printed to size. For architectural resurfacing, each door typically takes 30–60 minutes to wrap. We provide a phased installation schedule so you know exactly when each section will be completed.
Yes — multi-door projects are common, especially for schools and hotels. For school door wrap projects, we typically schedule installation during breaks or after hours to avoid disrupting classes. For hotels, we coordinate with management to phase the work across corridors during low-occupancy periods. We provide a full project timeline before starting.
Yes. Architectural vinyl films with embossed textures — wood grain, brushed metal, stone, marble, leather — can be applied to solid doors to completely change their appearance. This is a common solution for hotels and office buildings with worn or outdated corridor doors. Resurfacing costs a fraction of door replacement and installs quickly — typically 30–60 minutes per door.
Yes. Temporary door wraps using removable adhesive vinyl are common for product launches, conferences, retail promotions, and seasonal branding. They install quickly and peel off cleanly after the event. Turnaround from artwork approval to installation can be just a few days.
