No. NYC Building Code 3301.9.7 bans signs, ads and business messages on fences, sheds and scaffolds beyond the required ones. Your company name and phone go on the DOB project information panel instead.
It depends on the town. Newark lets signs at active construction sites go up without a permit, as long as they come down when work ends. Linden allows one temporary construction sign up to 4 sq ft per side in residential zones. Send us the address and we will check.
